Who is Levi Farrar? A young star, our future!

Trumpeter and flugelhornist, Levi Farrar, a California high school student, enjoys all genres of music and loves the challenge of pushing himself as a musician, whether playing with his school jazz ensemble, his combo, the SFJAZZ High School All-Stars, or state and national honor jazz bands. Most recently, after nationwide auditions, he was named lead trumpet for Carnegie Hall's 2025 NYO Jazz and the Monterey Jazz Festival‘s  2025 Next Generation Jazz Orchestra. He absolutely loves his new CarolBrass CFL-6200-GSS-SLB flugelhorn, which he describes as having the "fullest, warmest, most-buttery sound" of any flugelhorn he's ever played. Looking ahead, he hopes for a future that allows him to stay creative, make a difference, and be surrounded by a loving family deeply rooted in faith.
